Addis Ababa – Bunna Bank held an official award ceremony to give away prizes to the winners of the first round of “Save and Win” program. In a ceremony held at the Ghion Hotel on October 11, 2021, Bunna Bank’s Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) Ato Menkir Hailu stated that the bank has created opportunities for citizens to improve their lives and contribute to the development of their country by encouraging a culture of saving. In line with this thinking, Bunna Bank has set up a saving scheme for educators and health professionals who are entrusted with the highest calling to save lives and expand knowledge.
Ato Menkir, in his speech at the ceremony, said that Bunna Bank has been implementing an awareness raising program on saving for these and other groups, part of which is the “Save and Win” scheme. The CSO also stated that more than sixty-six thousand educators and health professionals have opened a saving account at the Bank in six months as a direct result of the program. Bunna Bank strongly believes that providing customers with banking services that meet industry standards can help citizens improve their lives. As such, the “Save and Win” program is an essential component of its Corporate Social Responsibility strategy. The program covers educators from kindergarten to higher education as well as health professionals including doctors, health officers, nurses, public health officers, pharmacists, radiologists and other related professionals. The program enables these professionals to receive a lottery number for different prizes if they save as little as 400 birr at the bank.
